Seismic Analysis of RC High-Rise Buildings Rested on Cellular Raft

This paper includes the investigation of soil–structure interaction (SSI) effect on seismic response 20 and 30-story reinforced concrete moment resisting frames (MRFs) rested a piled raft foundation using direct approach. After that, study is conducted to show impact cellular instead designed solid dynamic building. A introduced select best gap size for raft. The soil model assumed as single layer sandy clay. Time history analysis by integration method performed under seven earthquake records (El-Centro, Northridge, Kobe, Chichi, Friuli, Kocaeli, Loma), which are scaled Egyptian Code Loads (ECP-201) spectrum full 3D finite element software named (Midas GTS NX). It concluded that considering SSI significantly affects high-rise buildings, rafts generally leads decrease in their response.
